About the Recipe
I love fresh, homemade pizza! This is an easy one because I buy commercial crust and add the toppings. This is great for busy weeknights, and you can always mix it up a bit and add different toppings.
Ingredients
Serving size and amounts will vary depending on type of crust used
Commercial pizza crust (thin) or flatbread- I prefer Wewalka refrigerated Bistro Pizza, European Bakery Style dough
Commercial pizza sauce- I prefer Mama Mary's
Olive Oil
Garlic Powder
Parmesan Cheese, grated (optional)
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Fresh Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
Red onion, thinly sliced
Fresh mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
Brush crust with olive oil (sprinkle parmesan cheese on top, if desired)
Top crust lightly with commercial pizza sauce; flavor sauce with Italian seasoning and garlic powder
Add shredded mozzarella and fresh mozzarella (thinly sliced)
Top with sliced red onions and sliced mushrooms
Sprinkle pepper on top
Bake for approximately 8 - 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly
The thin-crust cooks very quickly; do not over bake!
